Primary human cardiac fibroblasts are isolated from healthy or diseased heart tissue and play a vital role in maintaining extracellular matrix homeostasis, supporting myocardial structure, and regulating cardiac remodeling processes. These cells are key contributors to fibrotic responses in heart failure, myocardial infarction, and cardiomyopathies.
Cryopreserved at early passages to ensure high viability and functionality, cardiac fibroblasts retain expression of key mesenchymal markers and respond to pro-fibrotic stimuli such as TGF-β, making them ideal for studies in cardiac fibrosis, drug screening, regenerative medicine, and tissue engineering. Donor-specific customization, including disease background, is available upon request.
