Primary human SAEC are isolated from the distal airways of healthy or diseased donors and play a critical role in maintaining lung homeostasis and barrier function. These cells are essential for modeling respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and viral infections. Supplied in a cryopreserved format to ensure high viability and functionality, SAEC retain key markers including cytokeratins and tight junction proteins, supporting studies in airway inflammation, mucociliary clearance, and epithelial repair mechanisms.

Validated for use in air-liquid interface cultures and 3D lung models, these cells are ideal for drug discovery, toxicology testing, and translational respiratory research. Donor background customization is available upon request.
